About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual looking to apply and broaden their human resources administration skills to join us in the role of People and Culture Administrator on a permanent part-time basis.

Working closely with the People and Culture Manager, through the provision of effective HR administrative support, you will contribute to developing a meaningful employee experience and safe work environment for our faculty and staff who are committed to the College’s vision and mission. This role is varied, offering exposure across the full spectrum of human resources activities, including recruitment, payroll support, work health and safety, learning and development, performance management and process improvement.

About you

We are seeking an organised, service-oriented and details-focused administrator, ideally with prior experience in human resources or a keen interest to develop experience in this field. You enjoy variety in your work and have the ability to build positive working relationships with a range of people.

This role will suit someone who is early in their HR career, transitioning into HR, or seeking meaningful part-time work in HR with opportunities to apply their skills and grow.

The successful candidate will meet the following essential selection criteria:

  • Experience providing administrative support in human resources or another area of work
  • An active Christian faith, current involvement in the life and ministry of a local evangelical church and the ability to support and promote the Christian Vision, Mission and Values of Moore Theological College
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail, including the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise work to achieve outcomes within allocated timeframes
  • High level of digital literacy
  • Proven ability to take initiative and contribute to developing solutions

It is desirable that you also have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • A working knowledge of relevant employment and/or WHS legislation, industrial instruments, recommended HR practices and common HR processes
  • Experience using HR information systems (HRIS) and records management systems
  • Experience coordinating training, meetings and other events
