Bible Society Australia (BSA) is seeking an experienced and highly organised Events Manager to join our Marketing & Fundraising team. Reporting to the Head of Donor Engagement, you will develop and deliver a national events program that supports donor stewardship, fundraising, sponsorships and supporter engagement while ensuring every event reflects BSA's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Delivery

• Develop and manage BSA's annual national events calendar.
• Plan and deliver approximately 20-30 donor thank you and bequest events, prospect events, 2-3 major fundraising lunches, and sponsorship activations across Australia.
• Ensure events align with donor engagement objectives, fundraising goals and BSA's mission.
• Evaluate event outcomes and identify opportunities to enhance engagement and impact.
• Travel nationally to support event delivery, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Event Operations

• Manage event logistics, including venues, suppliers, catering, registrations, audiovisual requirements and run sheets.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
• Manage event budgets and deliver activities on time and within budget.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, venues and event partners.

Donor Engagement & Sponsorships

• Collaborate with Donor Engagement, Bequests, Marketing and Partnerships teams to create exceptional supporter experiences.
• Support donor invitation, attendance and follow-up activities.
• Coordinate BSA's participation in sponsorship opportunities and external events.
• Monitor sponsorship outcomes and recommend improvements to maximise future value and engagement.

Faith-Based Engagement

• Engage with donors and supporters in a way that reflects BSA's Christian mission and values.
• Provide spiritual encouragement and prayer where appropriate and welcomed.
• Represent BSA with professionalism, warmth and integrity.

Key Criteria

We are looking for candidates with:

• Demonstrated experience in event management, ideally within a not-for-profit, church or mission-driven organisation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously.
• Strong project management, organisational and budget management skills.
• Experience managing suppliers, stakeholders and event logistics from planning through to delivery.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Experience managing sponsorships, partnerships or brand activations.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel nationally and work occasional evenings and weekends.
• A personal Christian faith and alignment with BSA's mission and values.

Desirable

• Experience in donor stewardship, fundraising or philanthropy events.
• Familiarity with donor engagement strategies.
• Experience working within a Christian ministry or faith-based organisation.
