About Compassion
Compassion Australia is part of Compassion International, a not-for profit, purpose-driven global network across more than 40 countries, working with sponsors, supporters and church partners as a Christian child development ministry to put love into action and help release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.

About the Role
As the Facilities Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth operation of Compassion Australia’s workplaces and assets. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will provide administrative and coordination support across buildings, tenancies, fleet and maintenance activities.

This role combines organisation and operational support, with responsibility for maintaining accurate records, coordinating contractors and maintenance, supporting compliance requirements, and responding to internal service requests. About You
You are organised, detail oriented and service focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate systems and documentation. You communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders, from internal staff to contractors and service providers, and approach your work with professionalism and care.

You bring a proactive and solutions focused mindset, enjoy coordinating tasks and processes, and take pride in ensuring operations run smoothly. You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively and contribute positively to team culture and uphold organisational values. Ideally, you have experience in administrative or operational environments, with an understanding of facilities, maintenance or compliance processes, and an appreciation for working within a Christian or not for profit context where purpose underpins everyday work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Role model organisational values and contribute positively to team culture while supporting the effective delivery of Facilities operations
  • Provide end to end administrative and coordination support across Facilities, ensuring activities are organised, tracked and accurately documented
  • Maintain Facilities systems, registers and compliance documentation, including servicing schedules and statutory requirements
  • Coordinate reactive and preventative maintenance, manage contractor engagement, and liaise with staff, tenants, property managers and service providers
  • Oversee fleet servicing and related requirements, and contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency

What you’ll bring

  • Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills with attention to detail, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently or in a team
  • Collaborative and service oriented, with the ability to identify issues and support practical solutions
  • Knowledge or experience in Facilities, maintenance, property, compliance, or operational environments (desirable)
  • Familiarity with building systems, safety requirements, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in administrative, coordination or service-based roles, ideally within the not-for-profit sector
  • Relevant qualifications in administration, business, or related disciplines (desirable)
