Role Overview
The Receptionists are the first point of contact for visitors and play a key role in creating a welcoming, professional and well-supported office environment.

The role combines front-of-house responsibilities with administrative and building coordination duties. You will act as a concierge for guests, pastors, board and committee members, and other office users, ensuring they feel supported and guided throughout their visit.

The position also supports meeting logistics, travel coordination, catering, room bookings and general building administration. You will assist with event or meeting coordination which may include attending meetings to provide administration support. The role contributes to the smooth day-to-day operation of the office and supports a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

You are warm, approachable and highly organised, with a natural service mindset and a genuine desire to support others. You take pride in delivering a professional and welcoming front-of-house experience, while efficiently assisting with a variety of administrative and coordination tasks.

You are confident and comfortable working within a Christian environment, engaging respectfully with Lutheran values, practices and governance structures. Experience in a church or Christian faith-based organisation will be highly regarded.

You bring initiative, strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach, while also thriving when managing day to day responsibilities independently. You enjoy contributing to a positive, supportive workplace and take ownership of tasks with professionalism and care within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome, direct and assist visitors as the first point of contact
  • Manage incoming calls, shared inbox enquiries, and office support
  • Oversee post, stationery, kitchen supplies and general office ordering
  • Coordinate catering and travel for meetings and events
  • Provide administrative support for board and committee meetings


Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in reception, administration or customer-facing roles
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in church, community or values-based environments well regarded
