Role Overview
This role supports the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand by providing practical HR advice, guidance and support to pastors, congregations, employees and volunteers across the church community.
Working within the Church Worker Support team, you will respond to a broad range of people matters, including leave, remuneration guidance, workplace relationships, policy interpretation and general employment practice. You will triage enquiries, provide coaching to local leaders and help equip congregations to confidently manage their responsibilities as employers.
The role also contributes to the development of HR resources, training and education initiatives, and supports the ongoing review of policies and practices in line with legislation and organisational needs.
About the Person
You are a HR professional who enjoys supporting people and working in a purpose driven environment. You bring empathy, sound judgement and the ability to coach others through people related matters.
You are comfortable working within a Christian organisational context and engaging respectfully with Christian values and ministry contexts as part of supporting church communities.
