  • Central Coast NSW · Full-time (Negotiable)

Help a generation of kids on the Coast know and follow Jesus, for life.

At Wyong Baptist Church (WBC), we’re looking for someone to lead our ministry to the next generation. You’ll spend three days a week at WBC leading our Children’s and Family Ministries, and two days as a Chaplain at Wyong Christian Community School (WCCS), being a steady, Christ-centred presence for students, families and staff. Two settings, one mission, and plenty of flexibility in how you shape your week.

What you’ll get to do

  • Lead Children’s Ministry and Family Ministry, each with its own team and a clear direction you’ll help set
  • Equip parents to be the main people shaping their kids’ faith
  • Find, train and grow volunteer leaders, especially the next wave of young ones
  • Serve as part of a large chaplaincy and wellbeing team at the school
  • See God do remarkable things on the Coast, in you and through you
  • Live on the beautiful Central Coast, with beaches, bush and a relaxed pace of life on your doorstep

Who we’re looking for

  • Someone with a real, growing faith in Jesus
  • Someone who loves kids and families and lights up around them
  • Someone excited by the chance to minister in both church and school
  • Someone who builds teams and loves seeing people grow
  • Someone with theological training, completed or underway

What we’ll give you

You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll join a supportive team that will invest in you and help you thrive, with remuneration in line with NSW & ACT Baptist Association guidelines, genuine mentoring, ongoing training and professional development, and real room to grow as a leader. You’ll work alongside a collaborative staff team and elders who have your back, within a church family that’s excited about reaching the next generation.

At school, you’ll be serving in a ministry of WBC. WCCS exists to equip young people to be “responsible and responsive disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ”, within a Christ-centred community founded on biblical beliefs, values and behaviour. Since 1993 it has grown into a thriving K–12 school of around 1000 students, known for its kindness, care and strong pastoral focus, and it’s now about to expand into two strong campuses with the new North Road campus. It’s an exciting season to join. You’ll serve as part of a large chaplaincy and wellbeing team, with everyday opportunities to build relationships with students, families and staff and point them to Jesus.
