Social Media Specialist
Own the channels where ACL meets the public every day
You've seen first-hand the impact that engaging social content can have. We're looking for a creative, energetic storyteller to own ACL's end-to-end social media process, driven by a servant heart and a passion for storytelling and real influence in the public square.

The vision of the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) is to see Christian principles and ethics influencing the way we are governed, do business, and relate to each other as a community.
With over 250,000 supporters Australia-wide, ACL facilitates professional engagement and dialogue between the Christian constituency and government, amplifying the voice of Christianity in the public square. ACL is neither party-partisan nor denominationally aligned, bringing a Christian perspective to policy in Federal, State and Territory Parliaments.
The role
Reporting to the Communications Manager, you'll own and grow ACL's social media presence and engagement across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and emerging platforms, planning, designing, shooting, editing and publishing content, with short-form video as your strength.
You'll support our campaigns, media activity and growth objectives with engaging social content, and manage and moderate our online communities in a tone consistent with ACL's values. Most importantly, you'll use social listening and analytics to continuously refine and improve ACL's reach, engagement and influence.
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can design, shoot, edit and publish quickly, understands what works on each platform, and know how to identify potential legal and reputation risk for review by management.

What you'll bring
Formal qualifications in communications or a related discipline are preferred; however, equivalent hands-on experience will be strongly considered. If you're a gifted social media communicator who understands social platforms but may not tick every box, we still encourage you to apply.
