  • Proven ability to coach, mentor and train ministry leaders.
  • Proven ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with a diversity of leaders; communicates proactively and clearly; works collaboratively through teams and partnerships; holds others to account and recognises gifts in them.
  • Proven ability to resolve leadership issues effectively.
  • Experience in developing, collating, and presenting training material and resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present well.
  • Relevant computer and video conferencing software skills
  • Minimum B.Th., M.Div., or similar from a theological college. Postgraduate study is an advantage
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in leadership and/or management roles within local church ministry
  • Good knowledge of, and commitment to, the teaching of Scripture and the Reformed confessions, the life and polity of the CRCA
  • Be a member (or be willing to become a member) of the CRCA and be willing to sign the ‘Form of Subscription’
  • Hold a valid Blue Card (or state equivalent Working with Children Card) or ability to acquire one
  • Permanent work rights in Australia with no restrictions
  • Pass the national Federal Police Check

About the Opportunity

CRCA is offering the influential opportunity for a full-time Ministry Development Coordinator to partner with ministers and ministry leaders across the denomination in God’s mission to reach the lost for Christ.

Reporting to, and being supported by, a Synod appointed Accountability Group, you will collaborate with pastors, elders and other ministry leaders to grow & develop our established churches and gospel workers, as well as identifying new church planting opportunities and developing new gospel workers. You will also play a key role in helping shape denominational culture.

This is an established role with a start date in early 2027 (or sooner), with an initial contract period to mid-2030.

You will be required to travel throughout Australia at your planning and within your budgetary allocation. Ideally you should be located on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia. Maintaining a home office would be desirable, although an external office can be considered.

You will need to be a person of good character and conviction who is grounded in Christ’s love, led by the Spirit, shaped by prayer and above reproach, and so lead with humility and an understanding and discernment of God’s will in the varied contexts in which we live and minister.
