Job Description

Help grow Bible Society Australia's impact through meaningful church and supporter partnerships. As a Partnerships Manager, you'll develop relationships and present BSA’s mission to churches, Christian networks and supporters, connecting people to pray, give, advocate and participate in Bible mission.

Location: Must be located in Sydney, NSW Metro. This is an in-field role, which will include a mix of remote work from a home office or another suitable location, and time spent visiting churches, ministries, supporters etc.

Bible Society Australia (BSA) is seeking a passionate and relationship-focused Partnerships Manager to join our Marketing & Fundraising team. Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, you will develop church and supporter relationships, represent BSA's mission, and help grow sustainable support through fundraising, donor stewardship and partnership development.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Development & Fundraising

  • Identify and engage new church partners, Christian networks and major donor prospects, building a pipeline of support and growing major donor giving through acquisition and upgrade opportunities.
  • Develop opportunities for churches and supporters to participate through giving, prayer, advocacy, volunteering and bequests.
  • Represent BSA at church services, meetings, events and conferences, presenting our mission and inviting partnership.
  • Secure financial support through church partnerships, major gifts, regular giving, mission projects, appeals and bequests.
  • Contribute to fundraising, acquisition and engagement targets.

Relationship Management & Stewardship

  • Manage a portfolio of major donors giving, or with the potential to give, $2,500+ annually.
  • Maintain a structured contact cadence that delivers meaningful and personalised engagement.
  • Build authentic, trust-based relationships with donors and churches as valued ministry partners.
  • Research and understand supporter motivations, interests and communication preferences to steward church and donor relationships with professionalism, care and responsiveness.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of BSA programs and ministry opportunities.

Collaboration & Administration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Events, Bequests and other teams to coordinate partner engagement activities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, reporting and pipeline management.
  • Communicate BSA's mission, impact and ministry opportunities to a variety of audiences.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Faith-Based Engagement

  • Engage with churches and supporters in a manner consistent with BSA's Christian mission and values.
  • Offer prayer and spiritual encouragement where appropriate and welcomed.
  • Demonstrate pastoral sensitivity, professionalism and discretion.

Key Criteria

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience in fundraising, donor development, business development, sales or partnership management.
  • A proven track record of achieving financial, growth or engagement targets.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing stakeholder pipelines.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and present at churches and Christian events, including weekends and evenings (on average, two working Sundays per month, with Time in Lieu respected).
  • A personal Christian faith and alignment with BSA's mission and values.

Desirable

  • Experience in church engagement, donor fundraising or the Christian not-for-profit sector, with knowledge of major donor fundraising, supporter stewardship and church partnership development.
  • Experience representing a ministry or faith-based organisation.
