Macquarie Anglican Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our Senior School teaching team in 2027.

About the Role

The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for implementing our Teaching and Learning Framework while providing direction, supervision and care for students, effectively delivering the NSW curriculum, maintaining professional standards and effective classroom management, and supporting the Christian ethos of the School.

The successful applicant will:

  • Demonstrate the ability to teach Mathematics across Years 7–12.
  • Be willing to teach Years 7–10 in other Key Learning Areas if required.
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences using NSW Education Standards Authority syllabus documents.
  • Differentiate the curriculum to cater for students with a range of abilities, interests and backgrounds.
  • Develop and implement appropriate assessment tasks and use student achievement data to inform teaching practice.
  • Provide students with timely and appropriate feedback.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that supports student effort, participation and learning.
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the Faculty and wider teaching team.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Maintain current knowledge of pedagogy and subject disciplines.
  • Participate in professional development and accreditation requirements.
  • Contribute to the pastoral, co-curricular and Outdoor Education programs of the School.
  • Actively support the School's mission and Christian ethos.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must hold:

  • A degree in the relevant subject area and appropriate educational qualifications.
  • Current NESA registration.
  • A current Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Desirable:

  • A willingness to uphold the Christian mission of the School.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a specialised area of education.
