A call to lead a gospel ministry
Kerang Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Spirit-led, Bible-centred Senior Pastor to guide our church into its next season of ministry.
Situated in the heart of northern Victoria, Kerang is a welcoming regional community where families, farming, education, and community life come together. Since 1877, our church has faithfully served this district with a commitment to biblical teaching, genuine fellowship, spiritual growth, and gospel mission.
We are an evangelical Baptist church devoted to Scripture, prayer, discipleship, mission, and community engagement.
We are seeking a pastor who will:
- Preach and teach God’s Word with clarity, conviction, and relevance
- Love Jesus deeply and lead others into mature discipleship
- Equip, mentor, and develop emerging leaders and ministry teams
- Shepherd the church with compassion across all generations
- Lead with humility, wisdom, and a servant-hearted spirit
- Encourage evangelism and meaningful community engagement
- Work collaboratively with Elders and ministry leaders
- Strengthen prayer, discipleship, and healthy Christian families
Applicants should ideally:
- Hold a recognised theological qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Be accredited with the Baptist Union of Victoria (or eligible)
- Have at least 5 years’ pastoral or senior ministry experience
- Be ordained or willing to pursue ordination
