We are an inter-generational English congregation with committed lay leaders who serve, support, and grow alongside one another. As part of a larger, multiservice church, we value unity, shared mission, and the strength that comes from diverse generations learning and worshipping together.

We are looking for a pastor with depth of life experience, a genuine love for Jesus, and a passion for growing disciples. The ideal candidate can provide clear direction and help the congregation grow stronger, healthier, and more engaged in living out their faith together as a community.

Job title: English Pastor - full-time position

Reports to: Senior pastor

Overall description:

To shepherd and disciple the English congregation. Major Responsibilities:

a. To collaborate with the pastoral team, office admin staffs and lay leadership in implementing English ministry plans in alignment with our overall church vision

b. Prepare and deliver sermons in accordance with the Christian faith and Baptist beliefs and administer Holy Communion.

c. Discipling and equipping the congregation for service, for example, developing lay leaders.

d. To participate in English Meadowbank Committee meetings and provide spiritual guidance and support for the English Meadowbank Team members in the planning and implementation of their respective ministries.

e. To encourage believers to love Jesus and share the gospel with the local community and beyond.

f. To assist in organising baptism services, including preparing believers for their baptism and subsequent church membership.

g. To work collaboratively with the Pastoral Team.

h. To participate in youth ministry by providing spiritual guidance and support for the leaders and attending some related meetings/events (initially around 20% of capacity – review in 3-6 months)

2. Commitment and promotion of our church vision and congregational focus

3. Strong biblical knowledge and ability to teach the Scripture effectively.

4. Collaborate, delegate, and lead teams in ministry contexts.

5. Able to relate and serve across all age groups in a culturally and generationally diverse church.

6. Willingness to enter membership of this church

7. Humble, teachable, and open to feedback and growth.

Qualifications:

1. Theological qualifications of at minimum Diploma level.
