About the role

Working collaboratively with churches, schools and volunteers, you will be responsible for leading the local delivery of SU Chaplaincy through training, coaching and leading both staff and volunteers in ministry opportunities within your district. You will also be responsible for growing SU Chaplaincy in the geographical area by establishing strong relationships with School decision-makers and identify appropriate candidates to lead SU Chaplaincy in their context.

This role serves Toowoomba and the surrounding communities, stretching from Gatton in the east to Millmerran in the west, and from Crows Nest in the north to Clifton in the south. You will need to be based in the area due to the leadership and networking responsibilities of the role. This is a full-time role.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A broad understanding of Christian youth/children’s ministry
• Experience with the education sector (preferably in a Chaplaincy context)
• A minimum 3 years’ experience leading a team preferably within a not-for profit environment
• Demonstrated ability to network, build partnerships and strategic alliances with a broad range of people
• Tertiary qualifications in youth work, leadership, business or related field
• Experience and involvement in community fundraising
• Driver’s license essential
