Carrum Downs Financial Services Limited operates the Community Bank Carrum Downs & Marriott Waters branches under franchise from Bendigo Bank. We are seeking an organised and governance-focused Company Secretary to support our Board.
This role is well suited to a self-motivated governance professional who enjoys working independently and is comfortable taking ownership of governance and compliance responsibilities in a small organisation.
Key Duties
• Coordinate Board meetings.
• Prepare agendas and minutes.
• Maintain governance registers.
• Complete ASIC and Bendigo Bank lodgements.
• Administer Registry Direct and handle shareholder enquiries.
• Support governance compliance.
About You
• Experience supporting a Board or undertaking governance or company secretarial responsibilities.
• Excellent written communication and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work.
• The ability to work independently, manage your own workload and meet statutory deadlines.
• A proactive approach with the confidence to research requirements, solve problems and determine the appropriate course of action with minimal supervision.
• Sound understanding of the responsibilities of a Company Secretary.
• Membership of, or eligibility for membership of, the Governance Institute of Australia will be highly regarded.
What We Offer
$20,000 plus superannuation, approximately 8 hours per month, flexible work outside scheduled meetings, and the opportunity to support a respected Community Bank.
11 Board meetings per year, from 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm, usually on the fourth Monday of each month (excluding December) in the Cranbourne area.
