Crossway Baptist Church is seeking a Pastoral Assistant (Primary Ministry) to support the creation of engaging small group resources for Prep–Year 6 within Crossway Kids. This 2-month fixed term role supports curriculum development, administration, and team collaboration to help children grow as disciples of Jesus.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare small group notes and resources for Primary (Prep–Year 4) ministry.
• Ensure all materials are age-appropriate, engaging, and theologically sound.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and collaborative writing processes.
• Provide timely and efficient administrative support to the Kids ministry team.
• Support effective communication and collaboration across the Crossway Kids team.

Key Selection Criteria

• Vibrant Christian faith and commitment to the mission of the local church.
• Experience in children’s ministry (volunteer or paid).
• Ability to write engaging, age-appropriate Bible teaching content.
• Strong understanding of Scripture and ability to apply it to children’s learning.
• Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to Child Safe Standards.

A current Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee) is required for this role. The successful applicant must hold a valid WWCC or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement.
