Campsite Manager - Busselton Baptist Camping Centre

Job Description

Provide on-site leadership and oversight of Busselton Baptist Camping Centre and build strong relationships with churches, schools, and community groups......

Baptist Camping Centres WA is a ministry of Baptist Churches WA. We currently operate 2 campsites in Western Australia, Serpentine which is in the hills south of Perth, and Busselton which is located just out of the beautiful Coastal Town of Busselton. We have been operating camping centres in Western Australia for over 50 years. Baptist Camping Centres exists to serve the Baptist Churches in WA and the broader Christian community in creating a place for ministry and refreshment. Our facilities are used extensively by Churches, Youth Groups, faith-based organisations, educational providers, and community and family groups.

We are seeking a Campsite Manager at our Busselton site to lead this ministry into its next season.

A role with purpose

This is not simply a management position.

We are looking for someone who senses a genuine calling to Christian camping ministry. Someone who is passionate about creating spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and open to encountering God. Someone who approaches the role with a servant-hearted, “can-do” attitude, willing to contribute wherever needed to support the team and guests—including practical tasks such as cleaning, set-up, and maintaining the presentation of the site.

While on-site accommodation is provided in a beautiful coastal setting, this is not a lifestyle role centred on location. It is a role that calls for presence, availability, and engagement in the life of the centre, particularly during busy and impactful seasons.

The campsite manager will operate as part of the larger Baptist Camping Centres and Events team at BCWA. Employees of this team are not just employed to look after their own operations, but they are expected to be an integral part of the wider team. This involves across site collaboration and assistance along with the opportunity to be involved with some of BCWA’s events where appropriate.

  • Take initiative to strengthen, improve, and grow the site over time

  • The ability to take ownership and follow through
  • A servant-hearted, “can-do” attitude towards all aspects of the campsite
