Assist the principal solicitor with day-to-day tasks, provide general administrative support, and help ensure the office runs efficiently......
We are a Christian-led law practice seeking a reliable, organised and personable Personal Assistant/Receptionist to join our team.
This role would suit someone looking to build a long-term career as a Personal Assistant in a professional environment, who takes pride in supporting others and contributing to the smooth running of a busy practice.
As the first point of contact for clients, you will be responsible for answering telephones, greeting clients and managing appointments. You will also assist with scanning and filing documents, sorting and sending mail, and maintaining organised physical and electronic files.
The role includes proofreading, basic letter drafting, checking and responding to emails where appropriate, and data entry across our practice management system (SILQ), Court Registry portals and other online platforms. You will assist the principal solicitor with day-to-day tasks, provide general administrative support, and help ensure the office runs efficiently. This includes assisting the principal in practical ways throughout the day, such as preparing coffee and supporting workflow as needed.
This position is well suited to someone at the beginning of their career who is eager to learn and be trained in a professional legal environment. We are looking for someone who is dependable, teachable, and willing to adopt the systems and processes of the practice, with a strong focus on attention to detail and doing tasks properly.
As a Christian practice, we value integrity, kindness, humility and service to others. We are seeking someone who shares these values and is comfortable working in a faith-informed environment.
A key requirement of this role is that you either hold a current Justice of the Peace appointment or are willing to obtain one, as we regularly assist members of the public requiring documents to be witnessed or certified.
