Charlton Christian College is a K–12 co-educational Christian College located in Lake Macquarie. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centred education of excellence that empowers students to develop their God-given potential.

We are seeking an experienced and faith-driven Head of Learning Support to join our Wellbeing Leadership Team.

This is a key leadership role responsible for the College-wide leadership of Learning Support, inclusion and student support processes (K–12), working under the leadership of the Head of Wellbeing.

This position is a full-time and may include a small teaching load if required by the College.

About the Role

  • Lead the delivery of Learning Support services across K–12, ensuring inclusive and evidence-informed practice
  • Lead and develop the Learning Support team, including Learning Support Coordinators – Primary and Secondary
  • Oversee case management processes, including Individual Plans, assessments and interventions
  • Ensure compliance with NCCD, Disability Standards for Education and NESA disability provisions
  • Partner with Heads of Primary and Secondary to support staff in delivering appropriate adjustments
  • Build strong partnerships with families and external professionals to support student outcomes

This role is central to ensuring that students with diverse learning needs are supported to thrive within a Christ-centred and inclusive learning environment.

The Successful Applicant Will Have

  • A personal Christian faith, active church involvement and alignment with the College’s Statement of Faith
  • Significant experience in Learning Support, inclusive education or student support leadership
  • Strong understanding of NCCD, disability legislation and inclusive education frameworks
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and develop staff and build collaborative teams
  • Experience overseeing student case management and support processes
  • Current NSW Teacher Accreditation and Working with Children Check

Salary & Conditions

This full-time position will commence in January 2027.

Salary is in accordance with the NSW Christian Schools Teaching Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement, with the salary scale commensurate with experience.
