About the Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Primary Classroom Teacher to join our committed and supportive team from Term 3, 2026, or earlier by negotiation. This is a full-time position within our vibrant multi-age primary classrooms, where strong relationships and engaging learning are at the heart of our work.
Experience in a particular learning area or co-curricular field will be welcomed; however, our priority is appointing a teacher whose individual gifts, talents, and interests can enrich our students’ learning. We value educators who are enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to nurturing each child, and we seek to support staff in contributing their strengths in meaningful and varied ways within our school community.

Gulf Christian College is an independent, co-educational Primary and Secondary School in Normanton, located south of the Gulf of Carpentaria. The College is approximately 700km west of Cairns and 500km north east of Mount Isa.
Currently the College has approximately 132 students enrolled in Prep to Year 12 with a 78% Indigenous population.
Gulf Christian College was established and founded in 1986. Our College Mission Statement is centred on being recognised as a Christian College where opportunities are created for students through quality education, founded on Christian values and cultural heritage in partnership with staff, parents and the community.
