Gulf Christian College

Gulf Christian College is an independent, co-educational Primary and Secondary School in Normanton, located south of the Gulf of Carpentaria. The College is approximately 700km west of Cairns and 500km north east of Mount Isa.

Currently the College has approximately 132 students enrolled in Prep to Year 12 with a 78% Indigenous population.

Gulf Christian College was established and founded in 1986. Our College Mission Statement is centred on being recognised as a Christian College where opportunities are created for students through quality education, founded on Christian values and cultural heritage in partnership with staff, parents and the community.

The College is part of the NCC Education Group enabling staff and students to benefit from a wide range of expertise, support, professional learning and student programs, providing a creative and innovative curriculum, and demonstrating significant cultural links within the local community.

Our College practices are based on Biblical Christian principles and values. Our staff embrace the Christian ethos of our College, as we teach, guide and direct the lives of our students.
