About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive People & Culture Manager to lead and strengthen our people strategy across a growing, multi-site OOSH service. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will oversee all aspects of HR, workforce planning, culture, and compliance, ensuring our people practices align with our values and operational needs.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and day-to-day HR operations in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of People & Culture strategies aligned with organisational goals
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives for a dispersed workforce
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on performance management, employee relations, and workforce matters
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards (e.g., Children’s Services Award), and safeguarding requirements
  • Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives
  • Manage HR systems, reporting, and workforce analytics to inform decision-making
  • Lead learning and development programs to build capability across all levels
  • Oversee policy development, review, and implementation
  • Support change management initiatives in a growing organisation
  • Oversee and support Workplace Health and Safety

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior HR or People & Culture role, ideally managing a workforce of 150+ staff
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and modern awards (experience in education or care sector highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with high emotional intelligence
  • Experience leading culture and engagement initiatives across multiple sites
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Good conflict resolution skills
  • Must have a Working With Children Check and a national Police Check
  • Reference from a Pastor necessary
