Charlton Christian College is a K–12 co-educational Christian college located in Fassifern, Lake Macquarie. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centred education of excellence that empowers students to develop their God-given potential.

We are seeking a practical, organised and service-focused Property Operations Manager to lead the maintenance, grounds and facilities operations of the College. This leadership role provides operational oversight of property, maintenance and compliance activities, ensuring the College’s facilities are safe, functional, well-presented and fit for purpose.

About the Role:

  • Provide operational leadership across property, grounds, maintenance and cleaning functions.
  • Lead and support the Works Supervisor, Grounds and Maintenance Officers and Cleaning staff.
  • Coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance across buildings, grounds, facilities and equipment.
  • Plan, scope and deliver minor building, infrastructure and landscape projects.
  • Engage and manage contractors and trades, including quoting, supervision and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, statutory and regulatory requirements, including inspections and record keeping.
  • Contribute to facilities and maintenance budgeting and monitor expenditure within delegation.
  • Maintain effective maintenance records, schedules and compliance documentation.

The Successful Applicant Will Have:

  • A personal Christian faith, regular church attendance, and willingness to support the College’s Statement of Faith Understanding of child safety expectations in a school environment.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Experience in maintenance, facilities, grounds or similar operational role.
  • Experience coordinating tasks, workflows and managing small to medium projects through to completion.
  • Knowledge of WHS principles and safe work practices.
  • Demonstrated evidence of the following behavioural competencies:

Commencement: As soon as possible, subject to negotiation.

Salary & Conditions:
The annual salary for this full-time role is $104,656, including 5 weeks paid annual leave. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Christian Schools General Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement.
