World Relief Australia envisions a world free from poverty, inequality and injustice. We are an Australian-based Christian aid and development agency committed to the sustainable alleviation of poverty, injustice and inequality through effective development practices worldwide. Based primarily in Newcastle, NSW and Ipswich, QLD—our team predominantly works from home so we would welcome applicants from all locations.
Our development approach endeavours to foster agency through capacity building initiatives for vulnerable individuals and communities. Our mission is to empower people through local action for global change by providing a tailored grassroots approach to deliver global poverty solutions. We are committed to ensuring our efforts genuinely benefit the people and communities we aim to support through undertaking a best practice international development approach.
With current projects in more than 20 countries we are working to alleviate poverty, bring food security, humanitarian assistance, access to education, healthcare and clean water and sanitation. We’re involved in economic development, rural development, disaster relief, and even the fight against human trafficking.
