Griffith Baptist Church has just recently thanked and praised our God and Father in celebrating 100 years of being an established light for the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The church has played an important part within the community over the past century in being a centre of spiritual light and guidance and a place of hope and truth to those seeking a way out of the darkness.
Today the local church celebrates the reflection of the Griffith’s diverse cultural richness by its local congregation consisting of over 20 different cultures. The church consists of anywhere between 60 to 90 worshippers each Sunday. The congregation is made up of a mixture of age groups including mature and elderly families/couples, younger families with children and some youth.
The Church currently runs weekly Sunday school programs for children. The church runs a mid-week prayer group, a men’s Bible study group, and women’s craft group. The church seeks to partner with other community groups and hires out its hall to Baptist Care and Men’s Table support group.
The church has recently started to provide its facilities to support monthly services for a pacific Island church group also.
