Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC), Synod of NSW and ACT

The Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) is one of the country’s largest Christian churches, formed in 1977 when three churches came together. The Synod of NSW and ACT supports more than 400 local congregations, schools, missions, and community services.

We’ve long stood for making a positive difference—caring for creation, deepening our relationships with First Nations people, and living out values like compassion, respect, integrity, and working together.

The Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC) is a movement led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christians. Since the early 1980s, Congress has worked to support cultural, spiritual, and social strength and independence in Aboriginal communities.
