Northern Synod Uniting Church

The Uniting Church in Australia Northern Synod is a regional council of the Uniting Church in Australia having responsibility for the congregations and presbyteries in the Northern Territory and the northern parts of Western Australia and APY Lands of South Australia.

The Northern Synod consists of two presbyteries. These do not cover separate geographic areas; they represent Indigenous and non-Indigenous congregations.

The Pilgrim Presbytery of Northern Australia (PPNA) has 11 non-indigenous congregations across the Northern Territory and northern Western Australia. It has oversight of Frontier Services Bush Chaplains, hospital chaplaincy, aged care chaplaincy and support workers.

The Northern Regional Council of Congress (NRCC) is a regional committee of the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC) and a presbytery of the Northern Synod of the Uniting Church in Australia. Representatives of more than 28 Aboriginal congregations from East Arnhem Land, West Arnhem Land, the West Kimberley region of Western Australia, Alice Springs, Aputula and the Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands in South Australia, make up the Council.
