Position 1 - Associate Pastor - Prayer and Worship

Intercessory Prayer Ministry International is seeking a gifted and spiritually mature, dynamic and mission-driven Christian leader to serve Associate Minister in charge of Worship and Prayer. The worship and prayer leader plays a key role in shaping the worshipping life of our church, helping people lift their eyes to Jesus and respond in faith, unity, and mission.

This role is pivotal in shaping music and worship ministry whiles empowering members in their prayer life. As part of IPMI Worship vision, you will be responsible for developing and monitoring worship and music activities at the main branch and other new branches in line with our strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities

Worship & Sunday Services - Plan and oversee weekly worship services that are Christ-centred, biblically grounded, and spiritually formative; Lead and develop music and worship teams; Provide pastoral care and discipleship for volunteers across music; Maintain oversight of worship equipment and resources

Worship Across Ministries - Support worship for key events (e.g. Christmas, Easter, baptisms, weddings, funerals); Provide coaching and support to other ministries (Youth, Women, Men) in worship contexts; Champion worship as a whole-of-life response to God

Preaching & Pastoral Ministry - Opportunities to preach depending on gifting and ministry needs; Provide general pastoral care and contribute to the wider vision of the church.

Mentoring and training - Worship and music training – Develop and oversee engaging faith-based worship and training people interested in that ministry; use worship and music as a tool to enhance community engagement through open evangelism

About You

  • A certificate, diploma, bachelor’s degree or higher degree in theology, ministry, social science, human service, community service/development, or any closely related field.
  • Two years of experience as associate pastor or a similar role
  • Skill, experience, and prior training as associate minister or pastor, leader, bible study coordinator, and student ministry coordinator.

Position 2 - Youth Pastor

We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Christian leader to serve as Youth Pastor and Food Delivery Outreach Coordinator. This role is pivotal in shaping faith formation programs, supporting youth and young adults, homeless individuals, and multicultural communities by coordinating food delivery programs while supervising volunteers.

As part of IPMI Youth Ministry and Food Delivery team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that nurture the youth and young adult spiritual growth while ensuring that individuals and families in need receive essential support through food distribution efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spiritual Leadership and teaching: Lead youth service by delivering sermons and teachings, bible studies, prayer meetings and evangelism. In addition, you will assist Senior and Associate Pastors in conducting religious ceremonies and rituals
  • Faith Formation and Youth Engagement – Develop and oversee engaging faith-based programs for the youth, children and their families. Provides pastoral care, spiritual guidance and support to the youth in the church and the community.
  • Food Distribution Oversight – Ensure that individuals, particularly the youth and families facing food insecurity, receive groceries (food) received from foodbank and Second bite.
  • Community Partnerships & Outreach: Build strong relationships with churches, non-profit organisations, and community organisations to enhance outreach efforts. Lead, train, and mentor youth volunteers to support both faith and food programs.
  • Administration and coordination: Assists with administrative task, which includes day-to-day running and coordination
  • Program Development & Evaluation: Work with Senior and Associate Pastors to strategically plan, implement, and assess IPMI youth initiatives to maximise impact.
  • Creating a Safe & Welcoming Environment – Ensure all youth and families experience a Christ-centred, loving, and supportive space.
  • Participate in wider church leadership and pastoral team responsibilities.
  • Assist in the worship preparation process (software set-up in VMix, Filmora, Zoom Conference, online streaming)
  • Depending on passion and gifting, some opportunities exist to serve in technical productions in audio, computer graphics, lighting, and video.

About you

  • A certificate, diploma, bachelor’s degree or higher degree in theology, ministry, social science, human service, community service/development, or any closely related field.

A Temporal Activity Visa is available for applicants both offshore and onshore, making this a great opportunity for candidates seeking to serve in a faith-based leadership role within Australia.
