Toongabbie Baptist Church sits in the heart of Western Sydney, one of the fastest-growing and most diverse regions in Australia. Within a short drive of our doors live hundreds of thousands of people made in the image of God. We believe God has positioned TBC with a desire to see thousands of lives transformed by Jesus in Western Sydney and beyond.

By God’s grace, TBC is growing. More newcomers, more kids and youth, more pastoral needs, more opportunities and a staff team that loves serving Jesus and loves serving His people. As we step into the next season of ministry, we’re praying for someone who can help strengthen the structures, systems, and teams that support gospel growth.

We’re looking for the right person to join us as our Executive Pastor.

The purpose of this role is simple but significant: to put feet to the vision by helping the staff and people of TBC work together with greater clarity and focus, maximising our effort in making and growing disciples of Jesus.

About the role

• 3 days to full time depending on the applicant
• Core responsibility: Executive leadership including staff development, systems, finance, property, policies, and operational clarity
• Additional responsibilities (if full time): overseeing one of our Purpose Areas (e.g. Next Gen, Membership, or Mission)
• Working closely with the Lead Pastor to support direction, doctrine, and as we seek to live out our mission, vision and values.

• Brings steady, wise and servant-hearted leadership
• Thinks strategically, works collaboratively, and communicates clearly
• Wants to invest long-term in a church moving toward its 2030 vision and beyond
• Has a heart to help a church keep expanding its gospel reach across Western Sydney
