About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Property and Maintenance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the direction of the Property Team Coordinator, ensuring the upkeep and functionality of school facilities and grounds. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, repairs, and liaising with contractors to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

This position is available as a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform or arrange necessary repairs and maintenance of equipment.

  • Conduct building maintenance tasks such as repairing locks, doors, furniture, light fittings, and plumbing; patching holes; touch-up painting; and assisting with renovations and refurbishments.

  • Prepare and maintain play areas, grassed areas, and sports fields, including line marking.

  • Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, and gardens.

  • Waste Management

  • Liaise with grounds and property sub-contractors.

  • Report non-programmed maintenance needs to the Property Team Coordinator

Essential Criteria

  • Trade background favourable or Relevant experience in maintenance and building repair, horticulture.

  • Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards.

  • First aid qualified (or willingness to obtain)

The commencement of this position will be by negotiation.
