The Role

CREST Education is seeking a motivated and reliable English and Humanities Teacher to join our Rivercrest teaching team. This role is ideal for someone who has a love of teaching and passion for education.

The role is a permanent, full-time position based at Rivercrest Christian College (International Baccalaureate programme) Middle Years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a pastoral responsibility and understanding of students including diverse academic, linguistic cultural and social backgrounds
  • Support College priorities in terms of curriculum and professional development
  • Plan learning programs and analyse student progress and achievement with colleagues according to IB standards and Practices
  • Carry out all administrative practices in a competent and professional manner

The successful candidate will have:

  • The desire to teach in an environment where both Christian values and academic excellence are emphasised
  • Passionate about teaching the next generation
  • Relevant qualifications with VIT registration and commitment to professional learning
  • Proven record of field-work experience and/or relevant tertiary qualifications - experience in an International Baccalaureate educational environment or a strong interest in inquiry-based learning
