ECHO is a Christian not-for-profit committed to living out our values through service, care, and community connection. Guided by our Christian foundations, we walk alongside individuals and families in the Eastern Dandenong Ranges, offering hope, dignity, and practical support.

We are seeking a spiritually grounded and purpose-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation in its next season of growth and service.

This role is suited to a leader who is deeply aligned with a Christian faith, inspired by service, and motivated to build strong, inclusive communities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will be the steward of our mission, values, and strategic direction. You will lead with humility and integrity, ensuring our programs reflect our faith in action while remaining sustainable, accountable, and responsive to community needs.

You will nurture a culture of compassion and excellence, support staff and volunteers in their calling, and represent the organisation with warmth and credibility across church networks, partners, funders, and government.

About You

You are a values-centred leader with a genuine commitment to faith-based service. You bring:

  • A strong alignment with our spiritual mission and ethos
  • Senior leadership experience, ideally within faith-based, community, or not-for-profit settings
  • The ability to inspire and care for people while delivering organisational outcomes
  • Sound financial, governance, and strategic capability
  • A collaborative leadership style grounded in listening, respect, and service
  • Confidence engaging with diverse stakeholders

An active connection to a church community and lived understanding of faith-informed leadership is highly regarded.
