MINISTRY TEAM LEADER
Manning Uniting Church is seeking a leader with a driving vision to grow a regional church community to 150-200 people over the next five years. Having received a Synod Growth Fund grant (project entitled ‘Fig Tree Project’), worked through the ‘Growing Young’ program, and with the financial and material support of Wesley Mission the church is ready for the challenge. A qualified minister is being sought as a team leader who will work with the church leadership, its membership, a next-gen appointment to be made, and Wesley Mission to grow the church in the community.
Manning Uniting Church is in the CBD of Taree within the beautiful Mid North Coast and two blocks from the Manning River.
Town population is over 26,000.
The church and ministry centre have a variety of spaces and modern multi-media installations.
It is seen as a safe place by the under-privileged and Indigenous community.
The local community and organisations make considerable use of the church and centre.
U3A in the Manning Valley is a major user.
The Red Dove Café is a favourite facility that supports our welfare work and mission.
We have a very active leadership team.

We worship as a community at Manning Uniting Church every Sunday at 9.30am. All are welcome.
Our Worship Service involves participation, both formally and informally. Music, singing, words and images are part of our worship.
Holy Communion is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of the month. The offer to share in the Lord's meal of bread and wine/juice is open to anyone "who loves the Lord and wants to love Jesus more".
Following the service everyone is invited for a cuppa and to enjoy conversation and community time in the auditorium.
