About Mosaic

Mosaic Baptist Church is a multi-congregational church in Canberra with around 330 people gathering weekly across multiple sites. Each congregation has its own culture, style and local mission focus. What unites us is a shared vision: empowering ordinary people for God’s extraordinary mission.

We are entering a season that requires clear, courageous leadership to shape sustainable growth and long-term mission effectiveness.

Mosaic has an operating budget of around $1 million and net assets of $1.6 million.

The Opportunity

This is a strategic, senior leadership role.

The Senior Pastor will:

• Collaboratively develop a clear strategy and sustainable resourcing model
• Provide organisational and staff team leadership
• Foster a collaborative, missional culture where tensions are managed healthily
• Partner with the board in governance and accountability
• Lead a culture that values everyone and prioritises the safety of children and other vulnerable people.
• Teach Scripture and live out your faith in ways that form disciples and invite participation

• You have successfully led healthy, collaborative teams and complex organisations

• You can navigate tension and lead change sensitively and constructively
• You are self-aware and maintain healthy personal and professional boundaries

Requirements

You do not need to currently be Baptist. However, you must:

• Be theologically aligned with Baptist beliefs
• Be eligible for affirmation with the Association of Baptist Churches of NSW & ACT
• Hold a degree in theology, ministry, or equivalent
• Have the right to work in Australia

We are open to offering the role on a part-time or full-time basis, subject to discussion with the successful applicant.
