Nominated Supervisor & Educational Leader

Looking for a leadership role with real flexibility and genuine impact?

Wyong Baptist Church is seeking an experienced and qualified Nominated Supervisor / Educational Leader to oversee and strengthen our busy OOSH and Vacation Care services on the NSW Central Coast.

This is a full-time leadership position responsible for the day-to-day operations of our before and after school programs, along with Vacation Care.

The role includes oversight of educational programming, compliance, staffing and service coordination within a supportive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be confident leading a team, managing split shifts across the week, and ensuring the smooth operation of both morning and afternoon programs. At the same time, we are committed to flexibility with scope to negotiate roster arrangements and incorporate administrative time in a way that supports sustainable leadership.

About the Role
You will oversee and lead both the Wyong Outside of School Hours Care (WOOSH) and Vacation Care programs, ensuring they are well-coordinated, compliant and delivered in a caring, Christ-centred environment. The role combines leadership, educational direction, administration and compliance oversight, and works closely with Wyong Baptist Church and management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure the timely administration and coordination of the WOOSH and Vacation Care programs
  • Provide leadership and operational oversight across both services
  • Coordinate staffing, enrolments, planning and communication for WOOSH and Vacation Care
  • Ensure all programs operate in line with the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation
  • Work in close collaboration with the Compliance Officer to maintain strong governance, documentation and regulatory compliance
  • Lead and support educators in delivering engaging programs aligned with the approved learning framework
  • Maintain clear communication with families, staff and the broader school community
  • Support budgeting, resource planning and service development
  • Foster a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for all children
  • Support and model the Christian ethos and values of the School and Church

Flexibility of the Role
There is flexibility in how this role is structured. We are open to shaping the hours and weekly schedule to suit the successful applicant and the needs of the service. This may include:

  • Flexible working hours across the week
  • A portion of administrative hours completed from home
  • Adjusting the structure of on-site and administration time
  • Oversight of both WOOSH and Vacation Care within a flexible working arrangement

Educational & Compliance Requirements
Applicants should hold (or be working towards) one of the following:

  • Diploma in School Age Education and Care
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Bachelor of Education (Primary or Early Childhood)
  • Teaching qualification or other relevant children’s services qualification
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in OSHC or a similar setting

In addition, the successful applicant must:

  • Hold a current Working With Children Check
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification
  • Have a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework

Appointment to the role will be subject to being accepted by the NSW Regulatory Authority as the Nominated Supervisor for the service.
