ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Wongutha CAPS is a Christian Boarding School for Year 11 and 12 Aboriginal students from remote towns and communities throughout Western Australia. The school is committed to supporting students' health and well-being needs to enable them to effectively engage in the education and training opportunities available at the school. Good values and culture are paramount for Wongutha CAPS, resulting in a safe, engaging and caring environment. The organisation is actively seeking an enthusiastic Male Boarding Supervisor.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Boarding Supervisor, you'll be a key role model and guide for their Year 11 and 12 students outside of school hours. You will be essential in shaping a supportive, Christ-centred home-away-from-home.
The key responsibilities include:

• Supervise, guide and support students' personal, social, emotional, spiritual, academic and well-being.
• Create a positive boarding house atmosphere, ensure a clean and tidy environment and promote the house's reputation.
• Plan, run and actively engage in fun activities to contribute to students' general health and wellbeing.
• Effectively manage the boarding house, attend to daily routine, administration and documentation.
• Be a consistent, parental figure who develops fair boundaries and positive reinforcement strategies for student behaviours.
• Provide an encouraging environment for students to explore and develop their Christian faith.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be expected to perform different tasks to meet the organisation's objectives.

ABOUT YOU:
Ideal Skills
Have:

• Experience working with youth (Youth worker background is desirable)
• Cert IV in Community Services or Youth Work, Community Surf Rescue or Bronze Medallion (preferred or obtainable).
• Impeccable time management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• LR License (Manual) with Passenger Transport Drivers authorisation (to obtain as part of the recruitment process)

The successful applicant will be subject to the Federal Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.

• Salary range: $58,000 - $90,000 plus super (based on qualifications and experience level)
