A Parish Mission of the Uniting Church in Australia with multiple sites across the Inner Sydney, including Newtown, Paddington, Camperdown, and Surry Hills.

Newtown Mission is a community forming disciples of Jesus in inner Sydney for a rapidly changing world. We are engaged in a wide range of activities including emergency food and welfare support, regular Christian worship, affordable housing, a Creative Arts centre, and developing local community connections across a range of sites

The Role

The Paddington Pastor is a key ministry position within the broader Newtown Mission community. Working closely with the Senior Minister they are seeking to discern the new season of mission and ministry at Paddington; and develop a new strategic vision for the whole site.

Key tasks will include pastoral care, worship coordination, fresh expressions of church, and community engagement.

Skills and Experience

- Qualification in Theology, Ministry or Mission

- Experience working in pastoral ministry

- Demonstrated ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team.

- An understanding of, and commitment to the work and life of the Uniting Church
