Overview

We are seeking a committed Christian Business Trainer who is passionate about the next generation and experienced in school-based vocational education.

This role involves delivering EVET Business qualifications to senior secondary students across multiple school campuses. You will create engaging, structured, and supportive learning environments that help young people build real-world skills and confidence for life beyond school.

This opportunity suits an educator who understands both VET compliance and school settings, values relational teaching, and is seeking a 12–24 month commitment where they can make a meaningful and lasting impact.

A minimum of 12 hours per week is required during school terms, across Parramatta and the Sutherland Shire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver EVET Business training aligned to national training package requirements
  • Engage senior secondary students through clear, practical, and age-appropriate delivery
  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Assess student competency in line with ASQA and RTO requirements
  • Maintain accurate training and assessment records
  • Liaise professionally with school staff and Bedford academic teams
  • Model strong Christian character and values in all interactions.

Essential

  • A committed and practising Christian aligned with Bedford’s values
  • TAE40122 (or equivalent)
  • Relevant vocational qualifications in Business or a related field
  • Experience delivering VET in Schools, EVET, or senior secondary education
  • Strong understanding of VET compliance and assessment practices
  • Ability to engage and manage senior secondary students
  • Availability for at least 12 hours per week during school terms
  • Willingness to commit to a 12–24 month engagement
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Reliable transport and ability to travel between campuses.

Desirable

  • Previous EVET delivery experience
  • Background in senior high school teaching
  • Experience delivering Certificate III Business
  • Familiarity with NSW school environments and timetabling
  • A growth mindset and desire for ongoing professional development.

Conditions

  • Casual role, delivered during school terms only
  • Multi-campus delivery across Parramatta and the Sutherland Shire
  • Appointment subject to verification of qualifications and compliance requirements
  • Ongoing engagement subject to performance, compliance, and school demand
  • Participation in moderation, validation, and required professional development may be required
  • Adherence to Bedford College policies, procedures, and Christian ethos is essential.
