Riverwood Baptist is an evangelical Christian church in the southern suburbs of Sydney. We are a multi-lingual church meeting in 3 spoken languages – English, Cantonese, Mandarin – but with a common Children’s Ministry in English.
About the role
We have around 30 children and that number is growing, so we are seeking a godly Christian person who can lead a team of church members to grow young disciples of Christ. The role is part-time for 3-4 days per week (including Sunday), beginning in 2026. The role may suit someone who needs a flexible working arrangement.

Requirements
A personal faith in Christ, an understanding of the gospel, and some experience teaching children are essential. Ongoing training and development would be an important part of the role and would be supported by the Senior Pastor.
Some specifics of the role are negotiable depending on the skills and interests of the successful applicant. For example, there is potential for involvement in other existing ministries in the church (e.g. youth), or to start new ministries (e.g. holiday clubs, playgroups).
A remuneration package in line with the NSW Baptist Association guidelines will be tailored to suit the skills, experience and qualifications of the successful applicant.
