Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2026.

The Narre Warren South Campus is seeking a Head of English to lead and develop our English faculty from January 2027. This is a full-time opportunity combining your passion for English teaching with meaningful leadership responsibility, shaping curriculum, developing colleagues, and fostering a genuine love of language, literature and learning. You’ll remain actively involved in the classroom, with dedicated time release and support to undertake your leadership responsibilities.

We’re looking for an experienced English teacher with strong curriculum expertise, a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, and the ability to build a faculty culture where teachers and students can flourish. We are looking for a candidate who:

• Is a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
• Is qualified and experienced in teaching English
• Has strong curriculum knowledge and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning
• Has a genuine interest in leadership and the capacity to support, encourage and develop others
• Has high-level communication and interpersonal skills and can build positive, professional relationships
• Can show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
