We are seeking a compassionate, relational and motivated School Chaplain / Wellbeing Officer to join our team and contribute to the wellbeing and pastoral care of our students.

About the role
Working as part of our broader student wellbeing and pastoral care team, the School Chaplain / Wellbeing Officer will provide support to students across the College, developing trusting relationships and helping students navigate the social, emotional, spiritual and personal challenges they may experience.
The successful applicant will contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture through pastoral care, mentoring, wellbeing initiatives, small-group programs and opportunities for students to explore and grow in their faith.
The role will involve working collaboratively with teachers, Heads of School, Learning Support, Chaplaincy, families and external professionals to ensure students receive appropriate support.

About you
You are a caring, mature and relational person who genuinely enjoys working with young people. You are able to build trust, listen well and respond with empathy while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
You will be a committed Christian who is actively involved in the life of a Bible-based evangelical church and is able to support and model the Christian ethos and values of King’s College.

Qualifications and experience
A relevant qualification in one or more of the following areas would be highly regarded:
Experience working within a school, youth, pastoral care or community setting will also be highly regarded.
Applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, the relevant Victorian child safety and employment screening requirements, including a Working with Children Check.
