The ideal candidate is commercially savvy, financially literate, has an interest in working in the accounting industry and can lead a small and dedicated marketing team to oversee the sponsorship, branding, communications and marketing program here at Saward Dawson.

Our team of 90 + employees, delivers services in the areas of audit & assurance, business advisory, wealth advisory, personal taxation and superannuation, as well as business, taxation and not-for-profit advisory and consulting.
The Marketing Manager will supervise two part-time direct reports: a Content Coordinator responsible for content creation and a Graphic Designer responsible for design, video production and website updates.
Oversee Content Creation: Using your experience in digital marketing, you’ll help provide the overall editorial direction of our ongoing communications and oversee the performance of our communications channels.
Strategy and leadership: Working with a small team here at Saward Dawson, you’ll help the team to adopt an overall marketing strategy focussing on building brand awareness and inbound leads for the business. You’ll also coach and mentor the team to grow their marketing skills.
Collaboration: Working with both the marketing team and the professional accounting staff, you’ll help the team build their marketing and business development skills and support the development of high-quality pitch materials and communications.
Analytics: Monitor and analyse the performance of content to make data-driven decisions and improvements.
· Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
· Leadership skills and the ability to articulate strategy and rally others to the cause.
· Ability to explain financial concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
· Familiarity with digital marketing principles and best practices.
· Experience with social media platforms and content marketing tools.
· Strong research skills and the ability to quickly grasp industry-specific topics.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education: Relevant qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience: Experience in marketing/communications, preferably within professional services.
A candidate with finance or accounting experience looking to transition to a marketing career would also be considered.
Location: In-house (with flexibility), Saward Dawson office, Blackburn
Hours: Part-time with hours negotiable.
