About the Role

The Operations Manager exists to translate Newlife Care's strategy into consistent, efficient and sustainable operational practice by building systems, leading projects and enabling staff and volunteers to deliver excellent community impact.

Working closely with the CEO, you will lead the day-to-day operational life of the organisation, ensuring our people, projects, communications and systems work together effectively. Your success will be measured not by how much you do yourself, but by how well you enable others to flourish.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing clarity where others see complexity, creating systems that make work easier, and quietly removing obstacles so teams can thrive.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Leading the operational implementation of Newlife Care's Strategic Plan.
• Strengthening organisational systems, processes and communication.
• Coordinating strategic projects and organisational initiatives.
• Providing operational oversight across our Social Enterprise, Community Care and Community Activation teams.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and organisational effectiveness.
• Working closely with the CEO to ensure the organisation remains healthy, sustainable and positioned for future growth.

About You

We're looking for someone whose character is as impressive as their capability.

You'll be a collaborative and humble leader who values people, communicates with integrity and enjoys helping teams succeed. You have experience leading people and operations, know how to develop effective systems without creating unnecessary bureaucracy, and can balance attention to detail with an understanding of the bigger picture.

Experience in the not-for-profit, church, community, health or social services sectors would be welcomed but is not essential. What matters most is your ability to build healthy teams, improve organisational effectiveness and lead with wisdom, initiative and grace.
