Habitat for Humanity Victoria is seeking a values-driven Content Creator to bring our stories to life and grow awareness of our cause. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference by supporting a Christian charity that helps vulnerable households achieve safe, secure housing.

You will be key member of our small and collaborative Marcoms team, reporting directly to the Marcoms & Social Enterprises Lead.

About the Role

This hands-on role will include tasks like:

  • Create and edit social media content for Habitat for Humanity.
  • Utilise content creation software to create posts, reels, and captions..
  • Create new ideas using a written or verbal brief.
  • Plan and post content across all social media
  • Keep the comms and social media calendars up-to-date.
  • Make alterations to website content as required.
  • Interview stakeholders to ‘get the story.’
  • Create draft copy for e-newsletters.
  • Participate in weekly Marcoms meetings.

About You

You are a recent graduate in marketing, comms or media, or have been working in the industry for a short while. You enjoy working in a purpose-driven environment and helping to get our message out into the world.

You will have:

  • Motivation around HFHV’s mission, vision and values.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Flexibility to create content based on a written or verbal brief.
  • Ability to work within a small marcoms team.
  • Adaptable to working within brand guidelines and being creative.
  • Proven ability to create and edit posts & short-form videos.
  • Experience in planning and posting social media content.
  • Writing & design skills.
  • Mastery of English.

Highly Regarded

  • Minimum 1 year experience in content creation, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Experience updating website content (Wix or similar).
