We are seeking a committed and experienced Lead OOSH Educator (Qualified) to join our Out of School Hours Care team. This full-time position provides leadership and support in the delivery of safe, engaging and high-quality OOSH programs while mentoring educators, supporting compliance requirements and contributing to the wellbeing, development and learning of children in a Christian educational environment.

Working closely with the Director of Early Education and Care Services, the successful applicant will support the day-to-day operation of the service, guide educators, oversee programming and contribute to continuous improvement across Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care.

Essential Criteria

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• A person of evangelical Christian convictions and character, actively involved in a Bible-based Christian church and committed to the work of Christian education.
• Affirm and uphold the School’s Statement of Faith and committed to working a biblical worldview into all aspects of School role.
• A current and valid paid Working with Children Check clearance prior to commencement of employment, with ongoing maintenance of this clearance throughout employment.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, School Age Education and Care, or equivalent (approved by ACECQA).
• Current first aid qualification (HLTAID012), or willingness to acquire.
• Completion of CHCPRT025 - Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk, or willingness to acquire.
• Experience working in an OOSH or early childhood education setting, including being the responsible person present.
• Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), including MTOP, National Law & Regulations.
• Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and commitment to child safety.
• Demonstrated ability in administrative or operations support in an educational setting (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to guide, mentor and support other educators.
• Experience working with children with additional needs and diverse backgrounds (desirable).
• Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs that align with best practices.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the position, including staying active with the children and running engaging activities.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• A commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth in leadership.
• Demonstrated capacity to work harmoniously with teams, whether in supervisory, collegial or collaborative contexts.
• Demonstrated capacity to communicate clearly with students, colleagues, parents and the wider community regarding educational and welfare issues.
