Palmerston is a young, diverse, and rapidly developing community, offering significant opportunities for mission and outreach among families, defence personnel, and a culturally varied population.

St. Luke’s Anglican Church is located in Gray, in the middle of Palmerston’s four oldest suburbs. Our neighbours to the north across Victoria Drive are Gray Park, Gray Primary School, Gray Community Hall and Confalonieri Park. Directly to the east is Somerville Community Services and to the west and south is mainly public housing units and detached dwellings. The residents of publicly owned housing generally have low incomes and are predominantly aboriginal Australians.
We are part of the Anglican diocese of Northern Territory . The church was built in 1989 and has consistently served the community since. Though church attendance fluctuates over the years, we have a faithful community of Christians serving and loving those who chose to participate with. General attendance is 50 approximately.
