Over many years, Carey’s ministries and services have continued to grow in both scale and diversity. In response, Carey is establishing a new executive leadership role to bring greater alignment across finance, systems, operations and strategy.

The Opportunity

In this strategic role, you will build a resilient financial foundation, align strategy across entities, modernise structures, processes and frameworks. By leading with clarity and disciplined execution, you will champion change that stays true to Carey's identity and effectively stewards our mission.

Working across the College, Central Services and connected ministries, the Director of Finance, Strategy & Integration will help balance strategic leadership with operational oversight, contributing to long-term business direction across the wider Carey community.

By simplifying complexity, improving workflows and refining systems and processes, this role will enable our people, ministries and services to flourish and operate effectively into the future.

Who You Are

You are an experienced transformational leader with a strong background in finance, strategy and operations.

Commercially astute and strategically minded, you understand the important role strong financial stewardship plays in supporting healthy organisations, wise decision-making and long-term sustainability. You bring a capability to design and execute integrated financial strategy and provide high quality reporting and insights.

You naturally look beyond individual challenges to understand the wider organisational picture. By connecting people, finance, systems and operations, you bring clarity, direction and momentum to complex environments and help drive meaningful organisational progress.

You are a strategic systems thinker with a proven track record of designing, integrating and modernising structures to foster organisational cohesion. Known for dismantling silos, you excel at harmonising resources and strengthening collaboration between services entities. You have a passion for building robust frameworks that enable Carey to operate seamlessly as one unified, mission-anchored system.

Alongside your strategic and operational capability, you are also a relational and people-first leader. You lead with wisdom, humility and emotional maturity, building trust while guiding teams and stakeholders through growth and change. You are energised by building capability and connecting people and teams, reducing friction and creating environments where others are set up for success.
