About the Role

This diverse role blends property maintenance, transport, and volunteer leadership, supporting the practical operations that underpin our ministry activities.

You will:

• Maintain and improve church properties (Preston & Reservoir sites)

• Coordinate and carry out repairs, gardens, and general upkeep

• Safely transport goods, donations, and equipment

• Support ministry programs through logistics and deliveries

• Oversee volunteers in maintenance-related activities

• Ensure strong Work Health & Safety standards

• Manage equipment, inspections, and servicing schedules

You’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role enabling frontline community services to flourish.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who:

• Has a living Christian faith and a heart for serving others

• Enjoys practical, hands-on work and problem-solving

• Can work both independently and with teams of volunteers

• Has strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Is organised, proactive, and calm under pressure

Essential:

• Current Australian driver’s licence and strong driving record

• At least 5 years driving experience (including towing a tandem trailer)

• Good level of physical fitness

• Experience in maintenance, handyman work, or similar

• Willingness to obtain (or hold):

o Working With Children Check

o National Police Check

o Test & Tag qualification (or ability to gain)
