About the Role

The Partnership Development Officer – Church & Organisational Partnerships is a strategic relationship development role focused on building trusted, long-term partnerships with churches, ministries, Christian organisations, foundations, and aligned networks across Australia. Working closely with the Advancement Director, you will cultivate meaningful relationships with senior pastors, denominational leaders, Christian business leaders, board members, and organisational decision-makers. You will help partners understand how investing in Alphacrucis contributes to leadership formation, scholarships, ministry training, research, church planting, and broader Kingdom impact. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in relationship-building environments, understands Christian ministry contexts, and enjoys combining strategy, communication, and stakeholder engagement to create long-term partnerships.

Location: Either Sydney or Melbourne

Responsibilities

Partnership & Relationship Development

  • Develop and manage a strategic portfolio of church and organisational partnerships
  • Build trusted relationships with senior Christian leaders and decision-makers
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and strategic conversations with prospective and existing partners
  • Develop cultivation pathways that move relationships from initial engagement to long-term partnership

Church Partnership Strategy

  • Expand Alphacrucis’ national church partnership network
  • Develop partnership pathways linked to leadership development, ministry training, scholarships, and mission initiatives
  • Strengthen engagement with Pentecostal and broader Christian networks across Australia
  • Communicate the long-term impact and vision of Alphacrucis with clarity and conviction

Organisational & Foundation Engagement

  • Cultivate partnerships with Christian organisations, ministries, schools, foundations, and trusts
  • Prepare partnership proposals, briefing documents, and impact reports
  • Work collaboratively across internal teams to align partnership opportunities with institutional priorities

Pipeline & Portfolio Management

  • Maintain a disciplined partnership pipeline within Salesforce
  • Manage relationship stages, follow-up actions, proposals, and stewardship activities
  • Support Advancement revenue and partnership growth targets
  • Ensure partnership commitments and communications are accurately documented

External Representation

  • Represent Alphacrucis at conferences, church events, leadership gatherings, and partnership functions
  • Assist with partnership dinners, briefings, campus visits, and stakeholder engagement events
  • Build awareness and credibility for Alphacrucis within Christian leadership and ministry networks

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.

Required Skills

  • Experience in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, business development, ministry leadership, or relationship management
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence engaging with senior leaders and organisational stakeholders
  • The ability to manage multiple long-term relationship pathways simultaneously
  • High levels of professionalism, initiative, and organisational discipline
  • Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
  • Understanding of church leadership environments and the Australian Christian landscape


Pay range and compensation package

Total package for ACC credential holders (or potential credential holders) of around $100,000
