Purpose‑driven systems leadership

Anglican Overseas Aid (AOA) is a Christian international development organisation associated with the Anglican Church of Australia. We partner globally to support dignity, equality and inclusion, with a focus on gender and climate justice.

We are seeking a Senior Business Systems & Data Manager to strengthen our internal systems, data and organisational workflows during a period of growth, increasing complexity and digital transformation.

In this role you will steward the systems and data foundations that enable AOA’s mission—strengthening CRM, reporting, workflows and staff capability in a small, faith‑aligned team.

This is a Christian leadership role

This position plays a key part in shaping how AOA works, leads and lives out its Christian identity.

As an inherent requirement of the role, the successful applicant will:

  • Be personally aligned with the Christian faith
  • Be comfortable working within an Anglican church‑based context
  • Participate in, and at times lead, staff prayer and devotions
  • Model Christian leadership, ethics and values in day‑to‑day work and decision‑making
  • Contribute actively to a workplace culture grounded in faith, integrity and accountability

About the Role

Reporting to the CEO, this role leads AOA’s business systems and data capability, with a strong hands‑on focus on CRM (Salesforce), reporting, workflows and staff enablement.

You will:

  • Lead and improve AOA’s CRM and data governance
  • Design and embed practical “ways we work” across teams
  • Deliver dashboards and organisational reporting
  • Support digital readiness, privacy and system compliance
  • Enable staff through training and change support
  • Provide leadership to a small Operations team
  • Work with external technical providers to deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions

About You

You are both a systems thinker and a servant leader.

You bring:

  • Strong experience in business systems and data roles, including CRM administration
  • Confidence improving data quality, workflows and reporting
  • Experience leading people and coordinating work in a small organisation
  • A practical, enabling leadership style
  • A lived Christian faith that you are comfortable integrating into your professional life

Why Join AOA?

  • Use your skills in service of God’s mission and global justice
  • Shape systems that underpin real impact
  • Be part of a small, committed Christian team
  • Enjoy Melbourne‑hybrid and flexible working arrangements from our Abbotsford office (close to public transport). We also welcome suitably aligned remote team members across Australia, with occasional travel to Melbourne required from time to time.
  • Bring together professional excellence and faith‑based leadership
