Anglican Overseas Aid (AOA) is a Christian international development organisation associated with the Anglican Church of Australia. We are seeking a Standards and Compliance Lead to join us during a critical season of DFAT accreditation and organisational strengthening.

This role is ideal for a professional who integrates Christian faith into everyday leadership, ethical decision‑making, stewardship and accountability — not as an add‑on, but as a way of working.

About the role

The Standards and Compliance Lead will play a central role in preparing AOA for DFAT Full Reaccreditation (2026–27) and the ACFID Code of Conduct triennial assessment.

You will:

  • Coordinate DFAT accreditation processes and evidence
  • Support staff and Board readiness and understanding
  • Oversee safeguarding, complaints and compliance systems
  • Strengthen organisational policies and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to AOA’s Christian culture through participation in prayer and devotions

Faith and culture

Applicants must:

  • Be sympathetic to and aligned with AOA’s Christian faith‑based values and mission
  • Be able to authentically participate in the spiritual life of the organisation, including prayer and devotions, within an Anglican context

  • Part‑time (0.8 FTE), fixed‑term to November 2027
  • Based in Melbourne (hybrid; remote considered)
  • SCHADS Award Level 4
